First of all, THANK YOU for agreeing to pray! We hope this time with God will be a blessing to you. You are already a blessing to us! Below is a general guide to help you during your time in prayer, if you like.

Start by thanking God for who He is. Thank Him for His grace and love that covers us all.

“God is magnificent; he can never be praised enough. There are no boundaries to his greatness.” Psalm 145:3 (Message) Thank God for the amazing blessings He has poured into our lives, our church, our state, our country, and our world.

  • People are finding positive connections and support through each other, through long-lost family, and online.

  • This time of nationwide turmoil reminds us that we’re all in this together, and we’re all made in the image of

God, which ultimately unites us, and is greater than all the differences that divide us.

  • Thank God for the “spiritual interest” that is growing in all kinds of people during these times of uncertainty

Confess to God whatever is on your heart, especially those things that get in the way of your connecting with Him.

“Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.’ And you forgave the guilt of my sin.” (Psalm 32:5, NIV)

  • Ask for forgiveness, for whatever is troubling your heart. Ask God to forgive us as a people, for turning away.

Pray for people that you know, people in your sphere of influence, people affected by COVID-19:

“Come near to God and he will come near to you.” James 4:8a (NIV)

  • Family, Neighbors, Coworkers, Students, Friends

  • For this pandemic to be brought into full control, and protect us all from further death and disease

  • For treatment and prevention of further pandemics.

  • Help us learn as a people on how to better care for each other – medical systems, public health, those in authority, so they can lead us through uncertainty to collectively care and do what is best.

Pray for TVC:

“You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You’re deeply rooted in him. You’re well-constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you’ve been taught.” Colossians 2:7 (The Message)

  • Jeff Arnett, our Lead Pastor, and our staff, leaders, volunteers, family, and extended family of TVC.

  • Pray that God would continue to build TVC into a serving church for un-churched people.

  • That we as a church do not lose sight of our mission of Connecting People With God.

Pray for our Communities:

“Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.” Romans 12:16 (NIV)

  • City, Village, and Township councils, elected & appointed officials.

  • Schools – students, staff, teachers, administrators.

  • Local ministries and nonprofits serving the community.

  • Businesses & jobs affected by the pandemic, and graduating students seeking employment.

  • The least, the last, and the lost in our communities.

  • Pray that we emerge from this time stronger as people, with a commitment to unite for the common good.

Pray for our state, our nation, and our world.

“Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone.” Titus 3:1-2 (NIV)

  • For those in positions of authority to make the best decisions, even when difficult.

Pray for whatever else is on your heart.

“For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” Matthew 7:8 (NIV)

  • Lift up your concerns, worries, anxieties, and dreams to God.
