I Dare You to be Peaceful
Finding peace in your daily life.

Romans 5:1 says Therefore since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Through Jesus we have peace with God; our relationship to God is made whole. Because we have peace with God, we can peace with ourselves and be secure in our identity in Christ.

You were created in the image of God

So God created mankind in his own image,

    in the image of God he created them;

    male and female he created them. -Genesis 1:27

You are loved with an everlasting love

But from everlasting to everlasting

    the Lord’s love is with those who fear him,

    and his righteousness with their children’s children -Psalm 103:17

You are fully known and loved unconditionally

For you created my inmost being;

    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

    your works are wonderful,

    I know that full well.-Psalm 139:13-14

You were created for a purpose

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. -Ephesians 2:10

God takes you where you are and, in loving kindness, calls you to deeper knowledge of, love for, and obedience to Him. One of the fruits of the Spirit Paul lists in Galatians 5 is peace. Because we have peace in our relationship with God, we can become peaceful people by staying connected to Jesus.

Here are some ways we can stay connected to Jesus and be peaceful.

Proactive Gratitude

A result of peace with God should be continuously increasing gratitude. Make a list of the things you are grateful for. Keep it somewhere that you’ll see it every day to remind you of all God has given you and done for you. You can use the prompts below to help you get started.

What experiences in your life are you grateful for?

Who are some people in your life that you are grateful for?

How have you seen God answer prayers recently?

What is a hard lesson that you were grateful to learn?

What is one thoughtful thing someone did for you or said to you recently?
