Every year, I prayerfully choose a word for my year. In 2025, the word that came to me through prayer, scripture reading, and the input of my inner circle was COURAGE. When I chose that word, little did I know that I was not the one doing the choosing. COURAGE was the word God chose for me and our church. It was only by God’s grace and His gift of COURAGE that we were able to pursue the big and bold vision He gave us as a church—to RADIATE THE LIGHT OF HIS GOODNESS TO OUR COMMUNITIES AND THE WORLD.

As I look back over last year, I am reminded of how many of you courageously faced grief, loss, sickness, and pain. But I also think of how many of you courageously stepped up to give and serve those in our community and around the world who were in need. Some of you did this by faithfully volunteering to serve children and youth. Others did this by joining, leading, and participating in Tribes.

2025 was undeniably a year filled with challenges that forced us all to grow and courageously step into what He had for us as a church. Thank you for courageously saying yes to Jesus in 2025 through your praying, serving, and giving.
